Geez, this song actually makes me kinda angry lol! at 00:30 you totally drop it. I think it was really good but then the song abandoned me like an unwanted child, "you were a mistake." It picks back up at 00:45 which I forgave the parent for leaving me, "thank you so much for coming back, I'm so hungry." But then at 1:00 it tricked me with a "just kidding, I forgot my keys."
Your stuff is good, you just gotta carry it through.

Finish the damn thing. Good melody and if its for a video game you nailed it. When the violin comes in makes me think of a cut scene in a field or something.

Ok, the introduction of the sound at 00:31 is off putting and I was expecting a tier of beat to hit at 00:46 I felt never came. At 1:02 you introduced the light beat and it never went anywhere. Then the first sond from 00:31 seemed like it was really drowning out everything you had. When it finally went away, the song kinda just drops off. I agree something needs to be there to carry the song and the song itself needs to rise to something.
Not trying to be harsh but I just wasn't feeling this one. I think the background music has a definite potential as does you, but right now I don't think this song has any direction. It definitely needs some work.
Well, I didn't wanna add the beat yet cuz since this is a kinda short song, the beat didn't completely matter when it came. I'll admit, the strings at 0:31 kinda drained it out, but trust me, I controlled the volume on that part & if I didn't, it would've drained the song more. Trust me, this song was kinda for fun since I was inspired by DP, some of my other songs are way better then this one. Even though this is improvised, and i know for piano it is really hard to do that, you were holding back. Its good, but I got the feeling you were focusing too much on not screwing it up. I bet if your not recording anything you flow a lot better and your music has more feeling. You had some feeling in some parts but would almost go robotic in others. Definitely good though.

2:13 to 2:20 is a good lead in, probably my favorite part. 00:48 you had some much stuff going on it kind of drowned out the music. the end is good too. This one seems kinda dark, like a last boss fight or somethin'. I don't know, I'm just kinda rambling.

1:10 and on needs something more. It sounds a bit like the beginning. You have this build up but it doesn't go anywhere and it kinda trails off at the end. When it builds up its almost as if it should be a big finish but it just drops off. You need something but I can't tell what.

There really isn't a beat that carries you through the song, most of it is a composite of background music. I think if you introduced a good strong beat at 00:13 or 00:21 it would give it some kick. Just a suggestion though.
